Theater at Epidauros

To the left is the theater at epidauros. I chose this because even back then they had stadiums. here is where they expressed religious believes through music, poetry, and dance. Most of the plays in the fifth century BCE were tragedies based on popular myths. Now this is very to what we have today. WE also have stadiums and theater. But obviously they are a little more advanced nowadays.

athena attacking the giants

I chose this picture of athena attacking the giants because this is first time their culture expressed murals with drama. this was very different to them because usually their figures based of a normal pose with one foot forward and a strong looking pose. having a little smirt on their face. Now i like this piece of work becuase it tells a story. Finally we can see that not everything was good. There was drama and anger and war and all the good stuff

khafre

I enjoyed this sculpure of King Khafre because of the posture they had. When designing this they had him sit straight up and had the muscle all toned out. I also liked the litte hat he wears with the beard and such cool figured. He has a little smile which most their sculpors did

I picked this picture becuase the story behind it was quite humorous to me. The king would be pulled by horses and hunts the lions as they attack. Now the part I find funny is how he has guards of some sort out there to distract the lions so it would be easier for the king to get the kill. He was not in any danger and this was just like target practice to him.

Hall of Bulls

This work of art can be found in the Lascaux cave in Dordogne, France. I found this very interesting because I learned that the people of Lascaux drew on the wall for good luck. They thought that if they put the bulls on the wall it will mean there will be lots of bulls when they hunt so everyone will get fed. They do this before every hunt to have good luck.

Now i chose this work of art by Diego Rivera because it can be related to the paintings in the caves of Lascaux. These two are very similar becuase they were both done on walls. Although we do not use murals for hutting nowadays we still put art up for people to see. Artists all over the world are doing murals and that started way back when the cave paintings were going on.

my interests

Soccer happens to be my favorite sport and the only one I play. Last year I attended Leland high school and was the captain of the varsity soccer team. Now I play for a competive team and travel across the country

I added this picture by Leroy Neiman because I am a huge football fan. My friends and I compete in fantasy football every year. Although I am not the biggest cowboys fan, I really enjoy Neimans work.

The miracle on ice!! I love the olympics and it just makes it that much better when USA comes out on top. Even though I was not born at this time watching the replays and hearing about it still excites me

I know I am not old enough to be gambling or hanging around in casinos but I do enjoy playing poker. Every once in a while my friends and I will get together and stay up all night playing games of texas hold em'.

I love animals. And the dog just happens to be my favorite kind. I seriously would not be able to make it without one. They are just always there for you when needed the most.
