I picked this picture becuase the story behind it was quite humorous to me. The king would be pulled by horses and hunts the lions as they attack. Now the part I find funny is how he has guards of some sort out there to distract the lions so it would be easier for the king to get the kill. He was not in any danger and this was just like target practice to him.

Thought I'd comment on your blog because I found the story funny too. Those kings from way back then really got away with interesting things, and in general in the past rulers got away with weird unnessary stuff sometimes. For example, Roman rulers at the Roman Collesium would hold performences for entertainment and often there would be fighting or a tragedy death at the end of the performance. And often instead of it being pure acting, to spice it up the actor in trouble would be scripted to actually get killed in the end. How messed up is that haha. However, this was done to entertain and THAT it did, plus whatever the "king" in that time wanted done, got done. I'll end with, thank goodness we have checks and balances:).
